I love movies, it's my job, I have a collection of over 1000 DVDs.
I am a voracious reader be it scientific tomes, historical texts and classical literature to science fiction and fantasy. I keep up with science news via podcasts and publications. I suppose it's the joy of discovery and constantly challenging one's perceptions and understanding which interests me, I'm always learning. I love to read; historical non fiction, books which help to unravel the complexities of both physics and psychology, Science fiction is my guilty but shameless pleasure, with the occasional sojourn into fantasy. I have an abiding admiration for Dickens and Shakespeare, poetry and languages.
I love international and ethnic cuisine; I especially love to cook for friends and family. I enjoy spicy food and love chillies.
My musical tastes are wide ranging an eclectic; it entirely depends on my mood and the situation.
Sharp casual, modern chic with classical elegance though I have a huge costume collection and two suits of armour lol
Rugged and handsome; beauty is in the eye of the beholder is it not?
Dark and somewhat sarcastic.
I enjoy some typically unconventional pleasures; contemporary dance and art being two of them, I enjoy a good mooch at auctions, visiting cultural and food festivals as well as the occasional Sci-Fi Convention. I admire architecture and appreciate the beauty of nature with equal delight. I'm an amateur photographer and take mostly theatrical and astronomical stills. I have more hobbies than I care to count although sadly little free time to engage them all; gardening, stone work, drawing & painting, gaming (of the role playing variety) to name a few. I have a penchant for all things Roman that stems from my ethnic heritage, and an interest in classical antiquities. As for sports, I am a sabreur, I have fenced since I was twelve and have continued the study into its many incarnations over the ages for theatrical purposes, rapier and dagger, sword and buckler, broadsword and shield and even the Japanese arts of the samurai. Another love of mine is martial arts, although I don't claim mastery of any one form as they're a lifetime pursuit. I also enjoy badminton, biking and canoeing. I only recently took up the longbow and prefer shooting targets not animals.

I think I am an open and culturally sensitive person in general. I have been an ambassador for my country and for the institutions I have worked for over the years. I am a respected member of the community and have been the spokesperson for many companies I have been with learning different languages and employing them in my daily life as well as in business.
I am looking for the right person to take to Pangkor Laut's Sea Villa with me, to walk on the beach, swim, dine on fine cuisine, stargaze and take photographs.
On a typical Friday night while biking home from college I’m either trying to figure out how to get a particularly difficult classical reference to make sense to a modern audience or coming up with a way to make a fight flow better when dealing with especially nervous actors all while avoiding being hit by a car. Afterwards I may go fencing at the club, partake in a martial arts class or maybe watch a particularly good movie with some friends. The most private thing I’m willing to admit is that I can be guilty of laughing at my own jokes. Sad but true. One of my favorite poems by Pablo Neruda has a verse that says "What more can I tell you? I am neither good nor bad but a man." But I have striven to be more than that and fail though might I most assuredly keep trying.
My perfect match would be a combination of intellectual poet, scientific genius, an adventuress, comedienne, model and geek? (Well, you don't exist!) But if some approximation of you exists, well have I got the man for you. Are you willing to scale the heights of passion, ride the relationship rollercoaster and not get aggravated when he might happen to get you lost and will laugh when he says something unintentionally stupid. For a limited time only I am looking for the girl that I can get lost in conversation with just as easily as we can share one of those moments of comfortable silence in which we each pursue our own interests; be it a book, painting or gazing thoughtfully at a starlit sky. My job is important to me, but I know when I come home that this is where my priorities and true happiness are. I want to share both our passions, some of mine, some of yours and some new ones we find together. if you want children, (they're not just for breakfast anymore) and enjoy the outdoors as well as the playroom, then we already have a lot in common. Forget your reservations, be brave and drop me a line.
